Hannah Bücheler
Doctoral Candidate
Hannah Bücheler is a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Social Sciences in Agriculture, Department of Societal Transition and Agriculture, at the University of Hohenheim. Since October 2022, she has been working as a research associate in the Department of Ecological-Economic Policy Modelling at the University of Hohenheim in the research project BEATLE (Assessment of agricultural and food policy transformation pathways towards a biodiversity-friendly land use and food system). Within the BEATLE project her responsibilities include the collaboration with stakeholders at different levels and the integrative development of transformation scenarios. She holds a M. Sc. in agricultural economics by the University of Hohenheim. In her Master's thesis, she dealt with private-sector financing of biodiversity protection measures using the example of flower strips and flower sponsorships in Germany. In her dissertation project, she examines the integration of stakeholders in the transformation of the agricultural and food sector, taking into account both state and private sector strategies for biodiversity-friendly agriculture and land use.
