Julia Rietze's position is to keep everything in connection with our chair running as smoothly as possible!
My duties include the following:
- Book keeping and financial control i.e. payment orders and financial verification in connection with the chair and various projects
- Personal support including keeping personal records updated, contracts, holidays, sickness, timesheets etc.
- Online room reservations for teaching, meetings, conferences etc.
- Travel organisation and reimbursement
- Updating our webpage
- General correspondence, references, visa applications etc. in German and English
- Post distribution and dispatch / telephone
- Procurement of office requirements including hardware, software, literature and all necessary office equipment
- Support in the organisation of modules up to completion, from module registration to entering examination grades
- English translations and proofreading for publications etc.
- Dealing with all queries in connection with the university administration – personal office, book keeping, purchasing, IT etc.
- Inventory of all equipment, books etc. and disposal of any equipment which is no long functioning. Control of any equipment or books lent out to students or colleagues
- Contact with and support of students and visitors to the department
