Invitation to the 2nd Collaborative Workshop
Research and Teaching on Agroforestry and Land Use Systems of the Future
November 24, 2025 | University of Freiburg
The Universities of Hohenheim and Freiburg want to jointly research land use systems of the future with greater national and international visibility and cooperate in teaching. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in July 2024 to this end. The strong research profile in forestry, environmental and agricultural sciences, respectively, creates unique synergies, for example in the field of agroforestry, agri-voltaics and others.
Aim of the 2nd collaborative workshop is to further develop a joint strategy and structure for future cooperation, particularly in the fields of research, teaching and infrastructure.

We warmly invite you to come to Freiburg.
Registration with Christopher Morhart (christopher.morhart@wwd.uni-freiburg.de) and Michael Cormann michael.cormann@uni-hohenheim.de by October 14, 2025.
For the introduction round, we ask you to prepare and bring 2-3 sentences on your research area and interest in the context of land use systems of the future and/or agroforestry.
In the workshop session we plan to form separate working groups to improve collaboration efforts.
The journey from Hohenheim will be made by car pooling. These will be coordinated by Michael Cormann michael.cormann@uni-hohenheim.de. If required, please contact him directly.
