Workshop: Living with a Changing Climate, Voices & Responses

October 24, 2025, 6 pm, Online

We often talk about climate change in numbers—degrees, data, and deadlines. But what does it feel like? How does extreme heat, shifting landscapes, and unpredictable weather reshape daily life, emotions, and communities? Join us for a unique, interactive workshop led by Yusri Mohammed, from the project Climate Voices, a solar energy engineer dedicated to advancing renewable solutions and a humanitarian who has supported refugees in camps in Iraq. Through her powerful personal stories and professional expertise, she brings global challenges to life, inviting you to explore:

How does climate change feel? for those on the frontlines—and for all of us?

How are climate changes and conflicts interlinked in ways that statistics alone can’t capture?

What does community resilience look like? in the face of environmental and social upheaval?

How can we respond? with empathy, innovation, and action. Additional field insights on climate-smart agriculture in the tropics will be shared by an agroecology researcher (Lilian Beck, Department of Societal Transition and Agriculture, UHOH).
